I have analysed the peals of Doubles rung during 2004 and published in The Ringing World to date. I found 166 peals; 34 in one method and 93 in from 2 to 46 methods. The remaining 39 contained variations and all conformed with Decision (D) C.4. However the peals listed below claimed 4 or 5 "variations" which use only standard calls for the parent methods and, in accordance with Decision (E) A.3 (b), are not entitled to different names.
Date | Tower | RW | Report | Correct |
26Apr | Harrogate | 471 | 10m/32v | 10m/28v |
7Jul | Leeds | 711 | 12m/50v | 12m/45v |
11Dec | Strenshall | 11 | 10m/32v | 10m/28v |
11Dec | York | 35 | 12m/50v | 12m/45v |
I also noticed a minor discrepancy in the report of the peal at Edgbaston on 30th June (04/709) which claimed 6m/36v but contained 6m/35v.
If any band is unsure how the numbers were arrived at for their peal, I will be pleased to provide details on request.
