Visitors were present from as far afield as Hitcham, Bucks, and Bradford-on-Avon for the quarterly meeting of the Andover District held at Goodworth Clatford, on March 18th. Ringing reached Cambridge Surprise on the pretty ring of six.
At the business meeting Mr. A. W. Alliston was elected chairman until the annual meeting, as both the chairman and vice-chairman had resigned. New members elected included three ladies from Highclere, one from Sydmonton and the fifth from this previously un-ringable tower.
Next meeting, May 27th, Sydmonton, with Burghclere after tea. It is hoped that all towers in the Branch will compete for the Aird Challenge Cup in August.
