Three teams entered for the District preliminary heat for the Alliston Cup held at Goodworth Clatford on September 15th. The set piece was 240 changes, and two of the competitors, Andover and Longparish, broke down and were disqualified, leaving Burghclere the automatic winners. The finals were at Southampton on October 13th.
The result was announced at the quarterly meeting at Andover by the judge, Mr. C. H. Kippin, who was thanked for his services by Mr. A. W. Alliston, the District chairman. Notice was given by the secretary of the District striking competition at Barton Stacey on November 3rd.
