The Andover District of the Winchester and Portsmouth Guild and the Newbury Branch of the Oxford Diocesan Guild held a combined meeting at Highclere on June 18th, when the afternoon's ringing was much enjoyed. The new Rector (the Rev. T. Lewis) conducted the service and also presided at the business meeting which followed. A minute's silence was observed at the meeting for Miss Stella Davis. Ringing in the evening was at Thatcham and Newbury. It is hoped that this is the first of many joint meetings between the two areas.
