WINCHESTER AND PORTSMOUTH DIOCESAN GUILD.

A very successful meeting of the Alton District was held at Froyle on Saturday, May 11th, when 28 members were present from Binsted, Blackmoor, Selborne, Froyle, Fareham, North Stoneham and Winchester. During the afternoon and evening good practice was had in various methods on the ring of six bells.

After the service, the party were very kindly entertained to tea by Sir Hubert Miller at the Shrubbery House. At the business meeting which followed, Rev. E. Eyres presided, supported by Rev. B. C. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. G. Williams, Mr. Andrews, Mr. Bayley, Mr. Read and others. Sir Hubert Miller, Bart., was elected a life member, and four members of the Froyle band were elected members of the Guild.- It was decided to hold meetings at Privitt on September 21st and Selborne on November 23rd.

Votes of thanks were passed to Sir Hubert Miller and the Vicar of Froyle.
