WINCHESTER & PORTSMOUTH

Alton and Petersfield District

Over forty members and visitors met at Petersfield for the annual meeting on February 11th. The eight bells were kept going during the afternoon and evening with methods ranging from rounds to Cambridge Major. The service was conducted by the Rector, the Rev. J. S. Long, the lesson being read by the secretary, Mr. C. E. Bassett.

An excellent tea was served by the wives and friends of the Petersfield ringers, followed by the business meeting, presided over by the Rector. The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to the Rector for his address and warm welcome, also to all others for making the meeting a success.
