The second meeting of the year was held at St. Mary and All Saints’, Droxford, on July 29th. The service was conducted by the Rector, the Rev. T. G. Strangeways, and an excellent tea was served by the ladies. New members elected were Mr. T. Gooch and Mrs. P. Roberts (Havant), Mr. R. Slatter (Droxford) and Miss D. Lanagan (Fareham).
It was decided to adopt a new format for the next meeting. This would be (subject to the incumbent’s permission): Short service 6 p.m., ringing till 8.30, followed by the business meeting to be held in the church.
