The PR highlight of 2001 was the appearance of many Guild members in various capacities at the Ringing Roadshow at Keele University at the end of March.
The Guild Display Stand and its attractive and informative glossy posters attracted a lot of attention from attendees and exhibitors with a wide range of Ringing and non-ringing backgrounds. A lot of Hampshire Bells CDs were also sold.
The Stand had 6 bookings in 2001 at a variety of venues and made a small profit from donations received for its use. It is available for booking from Francis Mitchell 01489 893408.
Two Newsletters were published, March and September, they seem to have been well received.
In February the Guild registered its own domain name “wp-ringers.org.uk” and the web site migrated to a commercial hosting company. Subsequently enhanced functionality has been added given the ability to exploit the use of databases on-line.
There are now 89 subscribers to the “Information Line”.
