In 2003, a total of 81 students enjoyed various courses on Listening and Striking, Raising and Lowering, Plain Minor and Plain Triples.
I would like to thank all the members of the Education Committee for their enthusiastic support and their ability to become Tutors, Team Leaders or any of the roles required when running courses. But most of all their whole-hearted support of the Education Committee ethos of having fun while learning.
The Education Committee wish to give their Thanks to all the Helpers who gave their time and effort, for single sessions or the whole day ... No Course could run without your unstinted assistance.
Also this year our thanks to Steve and Sue Coleman who tutored the Raising and Lowering course at Swanmore. Steve’s relaxed way of communicating made the whole day fun, developing confidence in the students and raising the spirits of all those taking part.
The Committee wishes to thank the Tower and Incumbents for the use of their bells especially those who manage to sort the use of their Tower at short notice.
The Committee leaves a small donation (£1 a rope) for use of the Tower, this in no way shows the real value of allowing us to use the bells but does allow the Committee to keep the cost of the courses, to the students, to a minimum.
During the year, the accounts to 31.12.2002 have been audited by Steve Coleman. A copy of the audit letter has been lodged with the General Secretary and Treasurer.
Thank you.
