Once again, the annual dinner at Winchester Cathedral Refectory proved to be the highlight of the Social Committee’s calendar. This year, the dinner took place on Saturday 26th April and was attended by 75 people. The guest speaker for the evening was David House from Brighton, and Chris Kippin replied on behalf of the Guild. The two are friends of old and provided an entertaining evening for diners. Yet again, the food and service were of a high standard. Following a shortage of beer at the dinner last year, we bought beer in from the Pots brewery at Cheriton, and sold it separately. This proved to be a worthwhile enterprise.
The mid-monthly meetings have continued to be successful and a team of volunteers still helps regularly in the Winchester Cathedral Refectory.
