PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE

A small group has been studying the possibility of the Guild investing in a mini-ring. A questionnaire will hopefully be published in the March Newsletter and on the web site.

The website now contains details of the Guild insurance policy. The proportion of towers with contacts displayed is, I fear, gradually reducing due to lack of signed permission forms. It would be helpful if there could be some form of contact, preferably email, for each tower. Some people are, perhaps understandably, reluctant to have their email addresses published for fear of being inundated with spam. Why not consider setting up a Hotmail or Yahoo! address specifically for the purpose? Then, if spam becomes a problem, it can be readily changed. Alternatively Guild aliases are available, e.g. hursley@wp-ringers.org.uk. Messages to that address are automatically forwarded to the tower correspondent.

The Guild email list continues to provide a valuable medium for the dissemination of information. There are now 132 member subscribed. If you are not already a member, why not join? You will not be overloaded with messages, the volume averages about five per week. If you would like to subscribe send an email to david@wp-ringers.org.uk.

The Executive Committee agreed to experiment with colour front and back pages to Guild Newsletter. This seems to have been a success and well received. Budget approval has been given to continue in 2006. The editor is grateful to those that contribute articles.
