I have pleasure in presenting my report and accounts of the Central Fund and Central Reserve Fund for the year ended 31st December 2006.
Our income has remained at the same level as 2005 however our expenses have decreased. This is due to conunittee expenses being paid in 2005 and those committees although having their budgets agreed at the November Executive had not claimed any finds by the end of the year.
The Guild’s public liability insurance has remained at the same price as previous years and on renewal there has again been no increase. The cost of printing the Guild Report increased in 2006 in part due to higher printing costs and in part due to an increase in the number of pages. With regard to the public liability insurance we remained with our previous carriers. In 2007 the brokers are looking at alternatives and hopefully we will have maintenance reinstated. At present the cover is only in respect of members ringing activities as detailed on the Guild website.
The balance on the Social Committee’s bank account was received in early January. Their funds are now included in the main balance sheet and any surplus or deficits for future dinners will be dealt with in this sub-fund.
