PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER’S REPORT

I am delighted to announce that Lucy Clark has agreed to help with the Guild’s public relations effort. Lucy is a professional journalist and her expertise should be invaluable if you are wanting advice on producing written material to promote ringing.

Most of my public relations effort in 2008 has been involved in producing a promotional video for bell ringing. This was written and directed by Emma Golby-Kirk who is not a ringer. She identified what she perceived to be those aspects of ringing which would appeal to the younger non ringer. The result is a short, five minute, video which, I hope, will prove effective in recruiting new ringers.
