The Inter-District 8-Bell competition was held at North Stoneham on the morning of the Guild AGM on July 5th and judged by Julian Morgan.

At the Guild AGM Chris Caryer took over from Adam Greenley as convenor.

The Inter-District 10-Bell competition was not held this year but will be organised for September 2009.

The certificates have been redesigned to a uniform A4 landscape format.

The trophy for the Inter-Tower 8-Bell competition - The Alec Gray Trophy - suffered a serious mishap during the year when the cup portion became detached from its base. An extensive restoration will be necessary. Following consultation with various officers, it was felt that the money needed for this job would be better spent on replacing the top portion which could be lodged in Guild Library. A proposal for a suitable restoration will be presented to the March 2009 Executive Committee Meeting.
