2010 proved to be a much more active year for the Education Committee with one half-day course (Raising and Lowering) and two full-day courses (Plain Bob and Stedman Triples). These were all over-subscribed, highlighting both the demand and popularity.
The Education Committee is heavily dependent on Tutors and helpers and we are hugely indebted to all those ringers who have given their time and energy to support students with practical help; any other volunteers who could spare a little time will be warmly welcomed. We are also most grateful to the towers who have allowed us to use their bells for practical sessions, and to all those who work in the background.
Four full Education Days and one evening seminar are planned for 2011 covering a range of subjects and skills. The committee welcomes ideas from Districts and individual students about the kind of courses which are needed.
