The Guild has increased its total slightly in keeping with National figures. Awbridge, a Secular ring, has considerably added to the totals by ringing 66 and becomes the 4th= leading tower worldwide. Otherwise Bishopstoke would have been the leading tower for the Winchester District with twenty.
But what did we actually ring? Analysing the stages on which quarters were rung, reveals some enlightening figures. From the table below it will be seen that Doubles ringing dominates, occupying 37.5% of the total. No doubt most were rung on six bells. The figures differ greatly between districts, in some northern areas more imaginative methods are being rung.
