Successful competitions were held
Inter-Tower 6- and 8-bell in April at Abbotts Ann and Goodworth Clatford judged by Colin Parker of Reading and John Harrison of Wokingham respectively
Inter-District 8-bell in July at Jersey judged by Peter Niblett of Whitchurch
Inter-District 10-bell in September at East Meon judged by Julian Morgan and Sally Schupke of Guildford
There were sufficient bands to make viable competitions in 2013 however there is plenty of room for more bands and we encourage everyone to consider entering in 2014.
The old trophy (a shield) was in a very poor state of repair and there was no further room for metal badges on which to engrave the name of winning bands. Thanks to Graham Grant of Winchester who made a replacement trophy of a mahogany board with brass plates for the names of bands at a cost of £136. It was presented for the first time in Jersey and should last us for the next 25 years.

There is no longer any income as the fee for entering striking competitions was removed for 2013. The cost is paid from Guild funds. The judges for both the Inter-District 8-bell and 10-bell competitions declined the offer of travel expenses.
