The Guild library this year has seen very few visitors to borrow books, but back in July a group of Guild officers met to discuss the needs of the Guild Library and how it could best meet the needs of Guild members.
There have been no new purchases, but several books have been taken away to be bound.
The Guild Library is presently situated in Christchurch Priory and is open during the Monday night practice, but this is due to change during the year as the Guild Library is moving home to Winchester Cathedral. The library is available at other times by arrangement (01202 721287). There is also older material from the Guild Archives housed in the Hampshire Records Office in Winchester. If any member of the Guild wishes to visit the Records Office they can be contacted on 01962 846154. Please take with you some form of identification showing your name and address and quote the Guild’s Accession number 20M94DI.
As I hope to stand down during 1999 I would like to thank Jim and Barbara Jones who have helped me during my time as librarian and for looking after all the Monday night visitors to the library.
