PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER REPORT

There has been a lot of good publicity for ringing this year, both locally and nationally - primarily as a result of the “Ring in 2000” activities described elsewhere. I am not aware of any bad publicity in our area. I am always grateful for notification of publicity that is taking place.

Two Guild Newsletters were issued during the year, in March and in October. My sincere thanks go to all people who contributed articles and information. All Districts but one produce their own newsletter, and I enjoy reading all of them to extract articles for Guild News.

There was one use of the PRO Inventory during the year. I have now handed over the 13 photographs from the inventory to the Guild archivist since they are old-looking and do not present the image we would like to present to potential new recruits.

Our Web Site received about 2700 visits in the year. My thanks to David Forder for maintaining the site.

This is the last annual report from the Guild Public Relations Officer; next year there will be a report from the Public Relations Committee.
